The RAP of the NDIS for the Holidays

DATE POSTED: 15 DECEMBER 2022

NDIA’s RAP (Reduced Activity Period… yep, another acronym!) will be in place from:

  • close of business Friday 23 December 2022 - Friday 30 December 2022. “The NDIA reduces its regular operations during this time to give its staff the opportunity to spend time with friends and family, take a break and recharge over the festive season.” - NDIS website

NDIA will be closed from:

  • The public holiday Monday 2 January 2023, in lieu of New Year’s Day falling on a Sunday.

NDIA will be open again from:

  • Tuesday 3 January 2023.

NDIA encourages you to discuss things prior to the RAP, with your PRM (Partner Relationship Manager).

The NCC (NDIS Contact Centre, that’s the 1800 800 110 number 😉) will continue to operate during the reduced activity period with the hours of 8am-8pm (local time) Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays that fall on a week day.

If you call your LAC provider, or if you have a direct phone line to an NDIA Planner, during the RAP, the phone will either divert to the NCC, between the hours of 8am-8pm (local time) Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays that fall on a weekday or provide them with an alternative point of contact.

If you have an urgent matter regarding your NDIS supports, you can contact the NCC during this time - 1800 800 110.

Scheduled payments for participants

Periodic transport payments will be unaffected during the reduced activity period.

  • For payment requests submitted on Friday 23 December, payment will be received from Wednesday 28 December.

  • For payment requests submitted from Saturday 24 December to Wednesday 28 December, payment will be received from Thursday 29 December.

  • For payment requests submitted on Friday 30 December, payment will be received from Tuesday 3 January.

  • For payment requests submitted on Saturday 31 December to Tuesday 3 January, payment will be received from Wednesday 4 January.

From us here at Achievable, we wish you a wonderful (and safe!) Christmas and New Year break. We look forward to helping you tackle the NDIS in 2023!
